New JASON Expedition: Mysteries of Earth and Mars

"Dr. Robert Ballard and a team of scientists will take middle-grade students and teachers on the trip of a lifetime -- to Mars! Working with renowned partner organizations such as NASA, as well as research and academic institutions around the world, students will conduct investigations and make discoveries that will help unravel the Mysteries of Earth and Mars. Training Costs: $

  • Teachers from last year can continue for $150 (Registration fee)
  • New teachers this year will need to pay $350 each. New teachers this year get a laptop to use all year, $200 stipend, $75 of materials, 5 PLU, on-site support, $150 JASON registration fee, and more. This is over $1500 in value.

The JASON Project

The JASON Project (http://www.jasonproject.org) is a multi-disciplinary program that sparks the imagination of students and enhances the educational experience. With JASON, students can explore Planet Earth and work with leading scientists to examine its biological and geological development. This nation-wide project is sponsored in Georgia by the National Science Center Fort Discovery in collaboration with the Educational Technology Centers.
